The Department of Radiation Oncology is hiring an administrative professional with a focus on research administration.

Responsibilities*
Provide administrative support services for a combination of faculty, physicians, and senior level managers. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of meetings, calendaring, facilitate video conferencing, prepare itineraries, agenda packets, and travel arrangements. Prepare Travel & Hosting Forms, process Non-PO Vouchers and Cash Receipts. Work within Chrome River to reconcile accounts, pCard statements and create expense reports. Triage phone calls according to prescribed protocol. Special project work as specified. Provide backup support to faculty and other administrative staff as needed. This role is intended to directly support our research administration / post award effort. Preparing journal entries, e-reconciliation, reviewing grant charges, PAR transactions, and other duties as they relate to post award research administration.
Required Qualifications*
- High school education or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of four years of secretarial / administrative support experience in a busy office environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complicated or time-sensitive situations.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to multitask and to organize and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent telephone etiquette with ability to triage calls as appropriate.
- Positive attitude with a focus on customer service.
- Must be able to interact with a diverse group consisting of faculty, physicians, researchers, residents, affiliates, vendors, patients and peers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, MiChart, Chrome River, Elements/MCV and Endnote.
- Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures and familiarity M-Pathways.
Desired Qualifications*
- At least two years of finance experience
- Previous experience with grant or research administration
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Discretion with regard to confidential information and a strong understanding of departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday; 8:00 - 5:00 w/ a 1 hour lunch.
Combination of onsite and remote work, with some degree of flexibility.
