Be part of a team assessing and driving achievement of program specific performance within Honeywell. You will partner with world class engineers and leaders to implement product strategies, develop program schedules and milestones, define technology roadmaps, and drive improvements in engineering quality and productivity.

As an Advanced Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will be part of shaping and driving the turbomachinery engineering strategy across our organization and will report directly to the Engineering Program Manager.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $156,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overseeing the design, development and qualifications of turbomachinery components including Gas Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling Systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans which meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Leading teams in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule.
  • Identifying and resolving design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes.
  • Identifying and incorporating best practices for product design.
  • Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests.
  • Coordinating activities to reduce test data, prepare test reports.
  • Production Technical support.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
  • 5 years of product development in mechanical equipment experience preferably rotating equipment.

  • Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives.
  • Persuade to influence other to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
  • Business acumen, knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry.
  • Extensive experience in rotating component engineering and manufacturing.
