Job Summary
As an Ambius Summer Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the commercial interiorscape industry. You will shadow various roles within the company, including Plant Care Specialists, Installers, Warehouse Colleagues, Operations Managers, District Managers, Account Executives, and/or Account Managers. Through this immersive experience, you will develop a deep understanding of the industry, learn essential skills, and contribute to the success of our team.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As an intern at Ambius, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of professional interiorscaping. Your role will involve a combination of learning, observation, and practical application.
Key Responsibilities:
Shadowing: Join various team members on the job to understand and participate in their roles, responsibilities, and daily tasks, as well as the needs of the customer.
Learning and Development: Engage in training sessions to develop knowledge in plant care, sales, safety, and business operations.
Observation and Analysis: Observe daily operations, identify areas for improvement, and contribute innovative ideas.
Practical Experience: Assist with tasks such as plant care, installation, maintenance, and design.
Professional Development: Develop strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Capstone project: Present a unique, self-designed capstone project that applies skills, knowledge, and insights acquired throughout the internship.
By the end of your internship, you will have hands-on experience with the interior landscaping industry, including:
Plantcare and maintenance
Installation and design techniques
Customer service and relationship building
Business operations
Safety protocols
You will also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and build valuable relationships.
Required Experience:
Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify problems, analyze information, and develop creative solutions.
Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of instructional materials.
Teamwork skills: The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including subject matter experts and other designers.
Formal Education, Qualifications or Training:
At least 60 Hours of completed course work towards Bachelor’s degree
Must be located in one of the following cities: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Los Angeles, CA, Raleigh, NC, San Diego, CA
Pay Range
