Associate Director, HCP Marketing, LUMRYZ (IH)
Job Description
Alkermes is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Associate Director, HCP Marketing as a key member of the LUMRYZ marketing team. This individual will drive HCP launch readiness for the anticipated Idiopathic Hypersomnia (IH) indication for LUMRYZ targeted for 2028, while partnering with the narcolepsy HCP marketing team to support continued growth with the narcolepsy indication.
This role will help shape IH HCP strategy and launch readiness plans, build disease state/branded messaging and tactics, digital strategy, and support narcolepsy HCP digital execution. The ideal candidate brings strong HCP marketing experience, launch exposure, and experience operating in specialty and/or rare disease markets.
Alkermes has a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Drive key components of HCP commercialization strategy and launch readiness planning for IH
Contribute to shaping HCP segmentation, campaign, messaging, across disease state and branded education initiatives for IH with narcolepsy indication in mind
Lead development of HCP promotional materials and digital strategy including website, CRM-based communications, email journeys, and targeted HCP media
Ensure patient journey and perspective is infused into HCP team strategies
Partner with Sales, Data, Analytics, & Insights, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Patient Marketing to ensure aligned strategy and pull through
Translate customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market dynamics into actionable recommendations
Craft actionable assignment briefs for creative agencies
Collaborate with agency partners and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality execution
Partner with analytics to monitor performance and optimize HCP engagement based on campaign insights
Guide branded and unbranded assets through the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review and approval process
Support HCP digital marketing tactics for the narcolepsy indication as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, science, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare marketing experience
Preferred Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HCP marketing experience
- Launch or launch prep experience
- Rare disease and/or specialty market experience
- Experience in neurology, CNS, or sleep medicine
- Strong understanding of HCP engagement strategy and pharmaceutical promotion
- Experience supporting digital HCP engagement initiatives and field promotion
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, matrixed organizations
- Collaborative, proactive, and execution-oriented mindset
- Translate brand strategy into actionable tactical plans and execution
- Demonstrated success managing agencies and media partners
Travel Requirements:
- Overnight travel 30%
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $165k to $190k. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
