We are looking for an Associate Director, Macro Sales - Sponsors to join our Americas team.
Macro Sales is part of our Sales and trading division, within our Markets business in the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).Our macro sales teams speak directly to our Corporate and Institutional clients, providing them with markets products - such as foreign exchange, commodities, interest rate, money market, credit, financing and other bespoke solutions - to meet our client's risk management and investment needs.
Our sales teams build deep, trusted relationships, leveraging our bank expertise to deliver targeted solutions to our clients.
About the Role
The opportunity is within our Macro Sales - Sponsors team in the Americas, This role will focus on originating, structuring and executing cross-asset markets solutions for the bank's Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Credit fund clients. The team also work on non-flow solutions for our insurance, pension fund and sovereign wealth clients. A successful individual will bring experience of interacting with Sponsor clients or intermediaries working for Sponsors, as well as good understanding of Macro Risk Management issues pertaining to Sponsors segment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage deep relationships across the Sponsors client portfolio.
* Originate, structure and execute FX, interest rates, commodities and other structured hedging solutions for Sponsor clients in line with the Bank's policy and procedures.
* Deliver the strategic direction and performance of Global Sponsors Sales by working with the local and global Sales teams.
* Ensure clients are kept informed of market conditions, pricing, and execution performance.
* Monitor the utilization of each client's trading limits.
* Actively engage Structuring, Trading, Relationship and Risk Management teams to facilitate optimum client risk solutions.
* Partner with internal trading desks, research teams, and Legal/Compliance departments to deliver integrated and compliant solutions.
* Collaborate with other areas of the business to cross-sell related products.
* Accountable for ensuring appropriate frameworks and operational infrastructures are in place to enable the business processes to be efficient, appropriate and compliant with internal policies, procedures, codes, laws and regulations.
* Continued provision of best in class service to help build the Markets relationship. Taking responsibility for the global financial market's relationship for key clients where appropriate.
Skills and Product Knowledge required:
* Understanding of client strategies, objectives, and risk appetite to propose relevant product solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of Macro products such as FX and Rates.
* Command over various hedging instruments, knowledge of market liquidity in FX and Rates derivatives, comfort with XVA charges, Fixed income, FX Options, Commodities.
* Familiarity with finance linked transaction documents including facility agreements, intercreditor, hedge waterfall provisions would be beneficial.
* Issues pertaining to margining, hedge co structure, related documentation, will be an added advantage.
* Ability to position for strategic and event driven hedging, along with understanding of issues involved in deal contingent pricing.
* Awareness and understanding of the US regulatory framework.

Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience in Macro Sales (Macro Products) with Financial Sponsors segment clients
* Bachelor's degree
* FINRA S7, S63 (preferred)

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 142,000 USD to 178,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
