Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Credit Model Specialist who will work with the Lending Systems Management, in accordance with Redwood Credit Union's guidelines, this position is responsible for the management and implementation of all pre-approval campaigns to Members and non-Members. Responsible for development, growth, retention, and product development efforts relating to RCU's preapproval campaigns by using data analytics to drive decision making. Successfully work with internal partners, external vendors and other third-party partners acting as a resource, while adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines and Return on Investment expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Maintain working knowledge of all RCU's lending product offerings.
* Effectively manage pre-approval campaigns by evaluating and understanding the needs of RCU's Membership using data analytics to drive an optimal Member experience.
* Develop and communicate pre-approval campaign plans, including documenting data and information used and provide reporting metrics to all decision makers.
* Work closely with Lending Management, making recommendations on the delivery, frequency, execution, and risk assessments of pre-approval campaigns.
* Work effectively with third-party vendors including credit bureaus, credit decisioning and pre-approval software providers to drive pre-approval campaigns.
* Collaborate with the Marketing department, Technology team, and other subject matter experts to establish pre-approval campaigns, including targeting potential Members in support of new Membership growth goals.
* Use post-promotional and Return on Investment analysis to refine future campaigns for increased efficiency.
* Maintain and update pre-approval process documents to ensure best practices.
* Monitor third-party vendor performance and standards; conduct due diligence reviews.
* Review laws and regulations that impact compliance requirements, with emphasis on the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, OFAC, Card Act and Durbin Amendment, Reg Z and Reg E.
Other Functions
* Analyze the efficiency of current procedures and recommend changes.
* Provide general assistance to Lending Management in department projects.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced experience with credit bureau reporting and pre-approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of applicable consumer laws and regulations including the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Thoroughly understand credit reports, loan-to-value, personal cash flow and debt to income ratios.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute multi-step campaigns and projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively and intelligently, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to successfully work with cross-functional teams.
- Project management skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and successfully meet deadlines to achieve results.
- Highly Member-focused and service driven.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people to support and improve team performance, in line with RCU's Mission, Vision, Values, Culture and Service Standards.

- Ability to operate a personal computer and software including word processing, email, intra/internet.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist, and turn.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Work environment is indoors; majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma with a minimum of five years' experience in consumer or mortgage lending, including a minimum of three years' experience working directly with credit bureaus on prescreen or pre-approval campaigns for a consumer financial institution.
Compensation: Base starting range: $41.00 to $54.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
