Job Description
The position is within the U.S. Marketing Operations organization focused on business insights, data analytics, demand forecasting, and process improvement. This role will focus on demand planning/forecasting, inventory management, validate demand and financial forecasts, facilitate D&O projects/initiatives, serve as a supply chain POC, and other financial and analytical duties, as assigned.
Job Functions
Responsible for maintaining and updating UIN level unit and net sales forecasts for U.S. Livestock biopharma and technology business
Review and refine forecast models up to 24 months in advance while taking into account sales and marketing assumptions, market dynamics, competitive pressures and demand forecast drivers
Review historical sales trends and market research to prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, leverage our proprietary internal tools, and evaluate forecast and supply results - all with a focus on continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy
Coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
Provides broader planning support to the commercial team, as required
Work with supply chain, marketing, finance, and manufacturing; have an understanding of each unique business and the respective markets and associated dynamics
Work closely with the commercial team on customer programs and offers to ensure adequate supply in advance of and during the promotions, as well as making needed adjustments to manufacturing needs based on assumed significant increases in product demand driven by programs
Collaborate with marketing and sales on new product launches and rationalizations to ensure needed supply, and minimize D&O exposure
Help validate demand and financial forecasts by gaining buy-in from various cross-functional partners and performing UIN DF to FF analysis to close gaps
Support monthly S&OP meetings with marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing to drive tactical business alignment and timely decision making
Participate in monthly Livestock Review meeting with BU leadership, finance, supply chain, and manufacturing leadership
Work with supply chain to ensure adequate product supply
Develop leadership and influencing skills to organize and direct projects in a matrix team environment without formal reporting relationships
Provide analytical support to the commercial team, as needed, to include the development and execution of an upfront agreement pricing tool, producer calculator, other as needed analysis
Skills/Abilities
Required:
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
Must have demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly with Excel
Requires strong analytical, organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
Must be an innovative and detail-oriented contributor with project management and process improvement skills
Must be a team player - who works to ensure team goals are met or exceeded
Background & Education:
BA/BS degree (degree in supply chain, business, operations, logistics, analytics, finance, or a similar field) required with 5-7 years of industry experience in a similar business-related field
Livestock experience is a plus

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
