Our global Internal Audit team’s vision is to serve as an essential business partner, promoting a culture of improvement and excellence across the global Wabtec organization. Our purpose is to strengthen Wabtec’s ability to create, protect, and sustain value by providing the board and management with independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, insight, and foresight.

How will you make a difference?

As a key member of the Internal Audit management team, you will lead the IT audit function and be responsible for the design / implementation of an audit framework which provides an independent review of the company’s enterprise IT, technology, and digital systems and controls to ensure adherence with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. This position will play a key role in the management and deployment of technology solutions for the Corporate Audit team. To accomplish these objectives, the Director of IT Audit will collaborate closely with existing compliance and auditing functions within IT and Legal to efficiently / effectively manage IT risks.

The role reports to the Vice-President, Internal Audit and is a key leadership role within the IA department. The individual will serve as a business partner to the enterprise IT function, technology organization, and digital intelligence business group, working closely with their peers to improve the organization.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, Business, or related areas
• 10+ years of relevant work experience, preferably including Big 4 or internal audit within a publicly traded organization
• Experience in a leadership role and managing/developing others
• Professional Certification(s) such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent
• Knowledge and experience in performing audits on ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP; including SOX IT testing, security related reviews and system implementations
• Experience in auditing cloud operating and application environments and outsourced operations and business processes
• Strong planning, project-management, and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with all levels of the organization
• Ability to navigate complex issues, resolve conflict in a professional manner, and understand risk as it relates to the broader enterprise organization
• Effective, highly professional individual that inspires confidence in colleagues and within the broader organization
• Energetic, entrepreneurial self-starter capable of self-direction
• Driven to deliver quality results on time, with a high degree of integrity, ethically and professionally
• Self-reliant with strong initiative, as well as possesses solid business judgment
• Resourceful and strategic with excellent analytical abilities
• Experience with AuditBoard (Desired but not required)
• Master’s degree in IT, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related areas (Desired but not required)
• Multi-lingual (Desired but not required)

What will your typical day look like?

• Develop a comprehensive, risk-based information technology audit strategic plan with a goal of ensuring effective controls and risk mitigation. The plan must reflect the diverse nature of the company’s operations and IT platforms.
• Select and manage co-source partners for IT audit, with the long-term goal of developing in-house IT audit capabilities.
• Develop and execute an annual risk-based IT audit plan.
• Effective communication and follow-up of IT audit findings with management to ensure adequate corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
• Expand the use of technology tools within the Internal Audit team to help drive improved productivity and audit effectiveness.
• Coordinate and provide assistance to the external auditors.
• Conduct special projects assigned by Management and the Audit Committee.

This role is based in the Company’s world headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA and is hybrid remote (2 days) and in office (3 days).
