NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Director, Sales for NASCAR West Region based in our Phoenix Raceway, Arizona office.
The Director of Sales – NASCAR West Region – Phoenix Raceway – will focus on growing the corporate and partnership-based revenue through marketing partnerships, suite and hospitality offerings, NDM and media-based assets, and branded platforms at the NASCAR facilities.
With a priority focus on Phoenix Raceway and the West Region, this position will have a keen understanding of how to create and leverage a marketing position for clients and prospects in the sport of NASCAR. This position will expect to practice strong leadership skills within the team but will have no direct supervisory responsibilities for staff at this point.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Sales Focus / Responsibilities / Leadership
- Develop key relationships within the sport and the local region, driving opportunities to leverage NASCAR and track assets that align with company/brand objectives.
- As a leader in sales, be actively involved in the regional communities to build relationships and uncover potential opportunities to help grow the business at Phoenix Raceway.
- Support our TV Partners (FOX, NBC) and look for opportunities to drive revenue through integrated partnerships on the regional level.
- Utilize the Partnership Strategy team to develop a data-driven sales strategy that maximizes our collective efforts.
- Travel to other racetracks in Western regions to support sales initiatives throughout race season.

- Client Entertainment (Full-Season Suites, Single Day Group Hospitality, All-Inclusive Premium Club experiences)

Required skills/experience:
- Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university required
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in all company-provided hardware and software
- Microsoft Office experience required, specifically PowerPoint at a high level
- Proven track record of success driving strategy behind effective sponsorship and/or marketing campaigns -- from brand awareness to demand generation to conversion
- The ideal candidate is a results-driven, creative, and strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Experience working with NASCAR strongly preferred
- Experience and relationships with other sports leagues and/or sports marketing agencies are also desired
- Aptitude for leading change in a complex environment and working within a highly matrixed organization.
