Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center
The Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) gathers and analyzes security data, shares appropriate data with stakeholders, coordinates incident management, and communicates mitigation strategies with stakeholders. The E-ISAC, in collaboration with the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council (ESCC), serves as the primary security communications channel for the electric industry and enhances industry’s ability to prepare for and respond to cyber and physical threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
The E-ISAC is operated by NERC and is organizationally isolated from NERC’s enforcement processes.
Your Impact
The Engagement and Outreach Coordinator is a member of the Stakeholder Engagement Team within the E-ISAC. This position reports to the Manager, Stakeholder Relations.
The Engagement and Outreach Coordinator will support stakeholder engagement and outreach activities, including informing stakeholder engagement content strategy through data analysis, developing relevant and timely communications, creating and updating website content, and maintaining stakeholder data in the Salesforce CRM. This individual will focus on enhancing stakeholder reach and impact through mediums such as targeted marketing campaigns, reports, social media posts, and other marketing tools.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing self-starter and team player who is engaged, easygoing, and comfortable interacting with external stakeholders as well as working with colleagues across the organization. This individual should be able to work on multiple projects concurrently, be comfortable working within a customer relationship management (CRM) database, be able to see a task through from beginning to end, and have strong written and verbal communications skills. The E-ISAC’s office is located in Washington, D.C., but this position is open to applicants across the continental United States. Staff may work remotely with occasional travel to D.C. or other locations.
Your Role
- Develop content strategy and messaging for E-ISAC external stakeholders, coordinating across the E-ISAC and with NERC Communications to ensure maximum reach and impact.
- Manage messaging with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, including the development of campaign content, design, and delivery.
- Create content and post messaging on the E-ISAC public website.
- Support the strategy and content development for the E-ISAC End-of-Year Report and other external products as assigned.
- Work closely with the Manager, Stakeholder Relations to advise E-ISAC teams and leadership on the E-ISAC stakeholder experience, including products, programs, and services.
- Maintain relationships with the E-ISAC’s member organizations through the Salesforce CRM (and other platforms) to ensure data integrity, efficient execution of processes, and maximum customer satisfaction.
- Support E-ISAC-wide programs and events, such as GridSecCon and GridEx, that benefit E-ISAC members through education and training.
- Conduct other tasks to support the E-ISAC as needed.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have five years of experience with a bachelor’s of arts or science degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, or a related discipline and the following:
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Familiarity with email communication tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Emma.
- Familiarity with design and digital marketing tools such as Canva, LinkedIn, and X.
- Experience with public website content maintenance and/or strategy.
- Confidence in open-source research skills.
- Strong writing skills with an ability to independently draft content that requires limited editing.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A positive, initiative-taking attitude and a friendly and engaging personality.
- Critical editing skills with an ability to learn and apply NERC Style Guide to products.
- Ability to absorb industry knowledge quickly and apply to written products and engagement activities.
Excellent candidates will have:
- Experience or familiarity with the electric or related industries.
- Experience or familiarity with physical and cyber security.
- Familiarity with grid operations, NERC, and the Electric Reliability Organization (ERO) mission.
- Experience or familiarity with ISACs or similar security-focused organizations.

- Limited travel is required.
- This position is classified as exempt.
- The position may be based remotely but must be able to travel to NERC offices, if needed. Reimbursement of travel expenses will be in accordance with the company’s travel and expense reimbursement policies.
