On the Financial Planning & Analysis Team, the Finance Intern will engage in diverse projects: benchmark MSP against other airports, collecting historical data for forecasting future airport business activity, assist with variance analysis, contribute to ongoing evolution of operational and financial reports, support cash flow and balance projections for airport planning and construction projects. This role offers an opportunity to apply academic knowledge to real-world financial projects, providing valuable experience and insights into public finance.
The Finance internship is 12-weeks, beginning in June and ending mid-August.

Position Description
- Support Finance staff to develop and present financial forecasts, performance reports, and trend analysis for project and department managers using financial modeling tools.
- Assist in developing projections and seasonal patterns for various revenue and expenses.
- Support cash flow and balance projections for airport planning and construction projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or graduated within 12 months from an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related degree.
- Experience using Microsoft office software, e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Basic skill level using Microsoft Access.
- Ability to prepare and present job-related technical information to various audiences.
- Reliable vehicle to commute between job sites.
