We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at the Kent Dairy Facility. This role will provide comprehensive HR support to both hourly union and salaried employees while collaborating with supervisory and management teams across various HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations and Labor Relations
Partners with HR Manager in conducting investigations and making corrective action recommendations
Serve as a liaison between employees and management
Ability to understand and coach supervisors and managers on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Participate in union/management meetings, including grievance meetings and contract negotiations
Maintain accurate records for investigations and HR-related matters
Compliance and Training
Develop and review diversity (AAP) plans with focused recruitment strategies
Coordinate and facilitate training activities, ensuring compliance with required protocols
Track and post legal, compliance, and union information as needed
Partner with facility leadership and Corporate COEs for ADA, FMLA, and disability processes
Collaboration and Communication
Effectively collaborate with local, regional, and corporate HR teams
Participate in community activities supporting Affirmative Action goals
Communicate and administer HR policies/procedures fairly and consistently
Handle HR matters confidentially and professionally
Talent Management:
Partner with Talent Acquisition to execute recruiting strategies for both salaried and hourly positions, focusing on diversity, inclusion, and AAP goals.
Collaborate with Operations Leadership on candidate selection, interviewing, and assessment.
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum 2 years of experience in HR-related positions, preferably in manufacturing or production environments
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
Required Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication skills with ability to lead change in a manufacturing setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Workday or similar enterprise systems
Familiarity with ADP and/or Kronos timekeeping systems
Excellent organizational abilities and ability to handle multiple priorities
Commitment to confidentiality, tact, and professionalism in all HR matters
Preferred Qualifications:
Human Resources certification (SPHR, PHR)
Experience working in a union setting
Career history with Fortune 500 companies
Work Schedule: Base work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required for occasional off-shift work or shift changes to meet communication needs. This role is required to work onsite at the Kent facility.
Salary Range: $59,840 - $89,760
