Machinist - Level 4



As a Machinist - Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you'll work out of our Columbia, MO location on a work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and productivity of our machine shop, contributing to the success of our manufacturing operations and the satisfaction of our customers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine the machining operations to be performed
* Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality and efficiency
* Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and tools
* Work with other team members to optimize production schedules and meet customer demands

YOU MUST HAVE

* 5+ years of experience as a machinist
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Excellent attention to detail and quality control

* Technical degree or certification in machining or a related field
* Experience with CNC machines
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing ethics
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
