Pay Rate: Entry Rate for TCU starts at 85% ($213.83/day); increasing 5 percent every 12 qualifying months. Full rate of pay $251.56 (full rate)

Description
Execute material handling, data entry, and process documents associated with the material management system (MMS). Utilize systems developed in the ordering, expediting, receiving and issuing functions of MMS and related warehousing systems.
Accountabilities
- Maintain work areas in a neat, clean and secure condition while exposed to inside and outside work environments
- Assist in material inventories and provide attention to detail as accuracy is required for all aspects of the position; Must possess the ability to recognize and reduce inventory error as accuracy is essential in the inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, contractors and/or customers and effectively handle conflict situations
- Have good written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with internal customers, supply chain personnel, and external contacts.
- Review reports relative to operations and resolve exceptions. Must become familiar with Supply Department procedures and material stocking catalog.
- Handle correspondence, records, and statements.
- Assist Manager in purchase, training, and providing procedure guidance to material forces.
- Utilize systems identified for trailer and freight car management and personnel management.
- Execute data entry and process documents associated with the material management system (MMS); Utilize systems developed in the ordering, expediting, receiving, and issuing functions of the material management system (MMS)
- Must possess a valid vehicle operator's license
Qualifications - Required
- Proficient general office equipment skills
- Proficient organization AND prioritization skills
- Valid driver's license
- 6 months experience within the Supply Department within the past 3 years; If no bidders qualify with the 6 months in the 3 year stipulation, the senior applicant meeting other requirements will be assigned
- Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions as well as possess good verbal communication skills
