Metallurgical Engineering Co-op Program

The Metallurgical Engineering Co-op with nVent’s Electrical Fastening Solutions (EFS) Business is a structured experiential learning program that gives students the opportunity to couple their academic knowledge with practical situations in the work place, and simultaneously allows nVent to evaluate students as potential direct-hire talent. Our candidates are hands-on problem-solvers who are analytical, creative, and highly professional. We seek confident leaders who take the initiative to drive results.

Location:

The Metallurgy Engineering Co-op Program is based out of nVent’s Solon, OH (Cleveland) location

You Have:

Have an interest in carbon steel microstructures and heat treatment
Be ready to get hands on experience with sample preparation and analysis
Be able to work under limited guidance from a senior metallurgist
Be well organized for tracking and reporting project samples and details

Required Qualifications

Pursing an undergraduate degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science - Sophomores and Juniors preferred
Currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future
