We are seeking a skilled Mobile Application Developer / Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging applications that meet system standards and functional/performance requirements. This role requires a strong background in mobile application development, with a focus on writing test automation code and performing rigorous testing on both Android and iOS platforms.

The candidate will also play a key role in unit testing, code reviews, and leading junior team members. They will be expected to troubleshoot and repair existing applications and actively participate in the improvement of software development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and test applications based on functional and performance requirements.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and other development activities for approved projects.
• Lead and mentor junior team members in technical tasks.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications (Android and iOS).
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in both existing and new applications.
• Collaborate with peers and management to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain detailed documentation of bugs, test cases, and test results.

Specialized Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in software development with strong knowledge of C, C++, Objective C, or Java.
• 2-3 years of experience in mobile application development for iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, or Blackberry.
• 1-3 years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Experience writing mobile automation code using Espresso for Android UI Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, SWIFT, or other object-oriented programming languages to write automation scripts.
• Proficient in using industry-standard tools for logging bugs and managing test cases (e.g., JIRA/MTM, Zephyr/HPQ).
• Experience with Appium or similar mobile automation frameworks for writing automated tests for Android and iOS apps.
• Strong understanding of mobile app testing methodologies, including functional, performance, usability, and compatibility testing.
• Familiarity with client/server architecture and troubleshooting/debugging existing applications.
• Remote role, but candidates must be based in Austin or Dallas (non-negotiable).
• W2 contract only, no C2C.
• Must be based in the US.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in mobile application development and automation testing.

Desired Skills:

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design (OOD/OOP) and multithreaded applications.
• Ability to carry a feature from start to finish: including prototyping, design specifications, coding, unit testing, and bug fixing.
• Experience creating physical and logical design documents.
• Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and communication skills.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $48 to $53. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
