The Engineering team has an opening for a National Mechanical Discipline BIM Leader.

Position Summary

The top priority of National Mechanical Discipline BIM Leader is to ensure that our BIM utilization is industry leading and highly efficient. Responsibilities include the growth and direction for the BIM team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Accepts input from the user group and curates the Power User Group.
  • Coordinate training for DLR Group standards and best practices within the discipline.
  • Provide direction and leadership in existing and new technologies.
  • Curate Revit Skills Assessment questions and training for DLR Group specific portion
  • Partner with the Technology, Design, and Practice forums to ensure complete alignment.
  • Lead the industry in BIM by increasing utilization and efficiencies.
  • Oversee BIM best practices and process improvements.
  • Assess user's capabilities, and expertise, and develop training strategies to ensure BIM growth.
  • Oversee family content improvements.
  • Lead team to develop and implement new strategies, techniques, and design tools.
  • Provide guidance, growth, and structure to the BIM team.
  • Raise the level of awareness for DLR Group's involvement in integrated design and sustainability by attending and participating in conferences, forums, and panels.
  • Research and implement new approaches to BIM and BIM management to ensure we are industry leaders.
  • Continuously assess our current BIM environment and lead improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience leading a BIM team with multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with industry leading software, design tools, and design related processes.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Must have a collaborative management style and strong people skills.
  • Some travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and implementing a BIM strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, interior design or related construction industry.

The potential pay range for this role is $82,000-$120,000.
