Job Description:
Network Automation Engineer
- Location: Denver, CO | Findlay, OH | San Antonio, TX
- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (some on-call duties may be required)
- Duration: 12+ months (likely extensions)
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on infrastructure as code and DevOps methodologies. This role involves automating and packaging networking solutions for product line teams, transitioning from traditional networking configurations to self-service portals and automated deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate and package networking solutions for product line teams.
- Create self-service portals and automated deployment pipelines.
- Leverage infrastructure as code tools and DevOps practices.
DevOps Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- DevOps tooling and methodologies (e.g., CICD, Git, Python)
- Integrate with the existing platform development team responsible for building deployment pipelines.
Network Engineering Responsibilities:
- Strong network engineering skills, including experience with Cisco Routers & Switches, SD-WAN, and Cisco ISE
- Configuring and deploying network devices and infrastructure
- Automate manual networking processes using infrastructure as code tools.
- Understand underlying network architecture and design to package solutions for product line teams.
- Perform traditional network engineering tasks while focusing on building reusable, self-service networking solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in network engineering and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
