PLANNER II - $68,532 - $92,519 ABOUT THIS POSITION - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for a Planner II position. This opportunity is one of five positions within our Planning Department. This position is an important part of the Towns planning and development services team and performs various professional and technical level planning work on challenging, complex, and/or sensitive planning projects in support of the Towns Master Plan and administration of the Towns zoning and subdivision regulations under the supervision of other positions in the planning department. The successful candidate possesses a team-oriented, collaborative, and organized working style, with excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships, and responsiveness to the community. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Masters degree in city or regional planning, landscape architecture, or closely related field or a bachelors degree and two years of professional level experience and with some level of previous experience in planning department. The Town has some Town-owned apartments that may be available to a successful candidate. ABOUT BASALT, COLORADO - The Town, located in the Roaring Fork Valley between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, encompasses an area of approximately 2 square miles with over 4,000 residents.
