Title: Principal Software Engineer

Duties: Research new technologies and techniques to support leading-edge development. Provide active contribution to team responsible for design, development, and implementation of critical enterprise-scale applications. Assist in providing estimates for levels of effort required to accomplish expected deliverables. Participate and help with integration of architecture solutions, design patterns, technical strategy, and roadmaps. Collaborate with technical leads, product managers, and quality assurance engineers to develop multi-tier, multi-layered application frameworks and functional components, following coding best practices, documentation, and design standards. Utilize modularity and layering to enable high scalability and maintainability for software applications. Write high-performance computer algorithms and create technical design documents, architecture, sequence, class, and related artifacts. Translate design inputs and requirements into development work items. Create unit testing and integration tests for each delivered module. Utilize unique Big Data approach scaling to massive size over time, large-scale distributed data processing technology. Conduct performance tuning, bottleneck analysis, and resource usage monitoring.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Economics, or a closely related field plus at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Project Manager, Analyst, Engineer, Developer, or in a related position performing designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; working with Core Java, J2ee, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, JavaScript, Html, CSS, React (or similar modern UI framework), IntelliJ, SQL Developer, cloud hosted relational databases (such as Postgres), cloud service components (such as AWS SQS, S3, IAM) for microservice development, and automated testing tools, including Junit and Jacoco; and using build tools and version control systems, including GIT.

This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
