QA Automation Engineer who applies engineering principles to develop, test and implement software tools or programs to automate technical operations, testing process to identify bugs and issues before the software reaches end-users, ensuring the product's quality and reliability.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Responsible for designing and implementing automated test frameworks, developing comprehensive test strategies, creating and executing automated tests, maintaining test suites, collaborating with development teams to ensure high software quality, and troubleshooting issues to identify defects throughout the software development lifecycle.
2. Lead and participate in testing, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions in adherence to company standards, including robust testing and support for subsequent release testing.
3. Attending to all aspects of automation testing, including performance, security, integration, system, and user acceptance testing,
4. Continuously enhance and debug test cases to ensure accurate and reliable test results, execute the test cases to validate the functionality of the software, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality release of software products
5. Responsible for quality in product development, along with improving enterprise or product quality assurance practices and supporting business development activities.
6. Set schedules for the work in PIs/Sprints, assess risks, review the work with team members and provide updates to superiors, attention to detail
7. Enhancing and maintaining automated Continuous Integration (CI) flows, Driving the software quality assurance lifecycle within an Agile process
8. Build non-functional monitoring capabilities and provide escalated support for highly complex applications in production.
9. Solve complex technical and operational problems. Act as a resource for teammates with less experience
10. In an Agile environment: Responsible for delivering high quality working software and automating manual/reusable tasks working directly, and engage with, the business from the beginning of the design work. Leverage continuous engineering practices to deliver business value regarding effectiveness of the design. Actively participate in refining user stories. Responsible for providing automated monitoring capabilities and providing knowledge transfer to production support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree and four to seven years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
2. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related degree and eight years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Knowledge of CICD pipeline, Agile software processes, technology platforms, programming languages, systems, or business segments
3. Experience with Open-Source tools and frameworks, Web/API testing, performance testing
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python and scripting languages
5. Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
6. Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, RestAssured etc.
7. Experience with build tools, such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins, Cucumber for PDD
8. Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests
9. Previous Experience working in the Financial Industry is a plus
10. Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma knowledge/certification, ISTQB Foundations Certification or American Society for Quality Certified Quality Improvement Associate is a plus
11. Familiarity of API design standards, patterns, and best practice implementation of REST, SOAP, MQ, JSON, XML, Microservices, ESB, etc.
