Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in Residential & Commercial Direct Replacement HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential air conditioning (AC) systems, coupled with the ability to assess and sell both residential and commercial HVAC replacement solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Customer Acquisition:
- Actively generate and develop new sales leads for residential and commercial direct replacement HVAC systems.
- Meet with homeowners and business owners to assess their HVAC replacement needs and recommend the best solutions.
- Conduct on-site assessments of existing HVAC systems, provide accurate system evaluations, and deliver tailored replacement proposals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.
- Product Knowledge & Consultation:
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems, including the latest energy-efficient technologies and trends.
- Educate clients on the benefits of replacing their HVAC systems, providing clear explanations of system options, energy savings, and warranties.
- Offer guidance on choosing the right size, capacity, and features based on the client’s needs, budget, and property specifications.
- Estimating & Proposals:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for residential and commercial HVAC replacement projects.
- Provide clear, professional, and persuasive proposals to potential clients, including all product and service details.
- Work with the internal team to ensure the timely processing of orders, permits, and installations once the sale is confirmed.
- Negotiation & Closing:
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction by aligning product offerings with client needs.
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and past proposals to convert potential opportunities into closed deals.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management:
- Provide excellent customer service from initial consultation through installation and follow-up, ensuring long-term client relationships.
- Address client concerns, answer questions, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the sales process.
- Assist with coordinating installations by liaising between the customer and installation team.
- Sales Targets & Reporting:
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status using CRM software.
- Provide regular sales updates and performance reports to senior management.
- Market Analysis & Networking:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitor offerings, and pricing.
- Attend industry events, home shows, and networking meetings to build connections and generate new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in HVAC sales, specifically with residential AC systems and replacements.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential and commercial HVAC systems, particularly air conditioning units, ductwork, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of sales success, with the ability to build relationships, negotiate, and close deals.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly present technical information to non-technical customers.
- Customer Focus: A customer-first mindset with the ability to tailor solutions to meet individual needs.
- Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using sales tools and estimating software; ability to read blueprints and understand system layouts is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple leads and sales simultaneously.
- License/Certification: HVAC-related certifications or licensure preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in both residential and commercial HVAC sales is highly desired.
- Knowledge of HVAC industry regulations, warranties, and energy efficiency standards.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Jobber, ServiceTitan) for managing leads and customer interactions.
