Weill Cornell Medicine, the medical college of Cornell University, invites applicants for the position as Senior Associate Dean of Education. This is an opportunity for a transformational leader in academic medicine who elevates institutions and people. The Senior Associate Dean for Education at Weill Cornell Medicine is a pivotal senior-level administrative role tasked with shaping academic programs, enforcing educational policies, and managing resources to foster a vibrant, talented, and diverse student body. The position reports directly to the Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine, Dr. Robert Harrington, who also serves as the provost for medical affairs at Cornell University. Notably, the role involves visionary leadership, effective strategic planning, significant contributions to capital campaigns, and advocacy for faculty engagement in educational pursuits, education development, admissions, and student affairs. The Senior Associate Dean will champion educational excellence by fostering collaborations across WCM and broader networks, developing new alliances, and leveraging the institution's strengths through innovative faculty retention and recruitment. This collaborative leader will work extensively with academic departments, centers, and institutes to align educational activities with WCM's culture and clinical objectives, aiming to elevate the institution's educational mission on a global scale.

The successful candidate will foster collaborations with Cornell Tech in New York City, Cornell University in Ithaca, Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar, and other affiliated and neighboring educational and research institutions to maximize the medical school and degree program.

The anticipated range of guaranteed base salary for this position is $600,000-$675,000; total compensation (guaranteed salary plus supplements) will depend on experience, other qualifications of the successful candidate, and eligibility for supplemental discretionary pay.
