Senior Analyst, Procurement Center of Excellence

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Procurement Center of Excellence is responsible for supporting the Procurement Center of Excellence department by providing detailed analysis, data management, and assistance with the implementation of procurement and trade compliance strategies. This role will support the management of the P2P process, ensuring the alignment of procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. Working closely with management, this role will focus on driving efficiency and maintaining compliance. The Sr. COE Analyst will play a key role in managing data, tracking performance, and supporting strategic initiatives within the procurement function. 

Job Responsibilities:

Global Strategy and Execution Support:

  • Assist in managing Procurement Card program and S2P portal support.
  • Support the standardization of procurement operations processes globally, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Aid in the management of business process outsourcing (BPO) team, including overseeing the transition of activities, training, and performance tracking.
  • Track the implementation and progress of key projects, ensuring milestones are met, managing escalations, and assisting in driving activities against defined timelines.

Procurement Operations and Supplier Management:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP and S2P.
  • Support project teams by implementing system enhancements and identifying cost-saving opportunities in current processes.
  • Manage departmental data and maintain updates on the Procurement Portal.
  • Manage assigned supplier relationships, tracking performance in terms of delivery timeliness, quality, and cost. Work to optimize the supply base and improve supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, corporate contracts, and e-catalogs.
  • Focus on process improvements and change management, providing assistance in developing and documenting department procedures.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Assist in managing SOX compliance by preparing documentation, responding to audit requests, and ensuring procurement processes adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Maintain metrics, assisting in the preparation of reports that highlight achievements, identify performance gaps, and suggest opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor procurement activities, providing insights and recommendations to enhance performance and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Responsible for managing the spend analytics platform and reporting.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or business required.
  • 6-8 years of experience in procurement and sourcing. Experience with purchase-to-pay preferred. 

  • CPM certification preferred. 

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering tangible results in a global, complex, and regulated environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP and S2P platforms, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Project Management: Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables with high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and Problem Solving: Flexibility in adapting to external environment influences and problem-solving within a matrixed global environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed analysis with complex data sources.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to create and deliver executive-level presentations.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,000 to $110,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.  Exact compensation may vary based on skills, training, knowledge, and experience.
