Location:

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid status of reporting to the One Energy Plaza in Jackson, MI every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with home office flexibility on Wednesday and Friday.

We are looking for: Senior Process Analyst

The Finance Transformation & Technology (FT&T) team is dedicated to revolutionizing the financial operations of the Controller's organization. Our primary goal is to reduce operational effort by 30% by 2030 through the strategic streamlining and automation of processes and tools.

Department Objectives:

  • Launch initiatives focused on modernizing financial operations
  • Simplify complex processes to enhance productivity and accuracy
  • Integrate advanced automation technologies to handle repetitive and time-consuming tasks
  • Develop and deploy automated tools to ensure consistency and reduce manual errors
  • Ensure seamless integration of new tools with existing systems for optimal performance
  • Continuously monitor and assess the impact of implemented changes
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement to sustain long-term efficiency gains
  • Equip team members with the skills needed to adapt to new technologies and processes

The Senior Process Analyst is accountable for the process optimization program in support of achieving breakthrough performance. The incumbent connects the dots between objectives, annual organizational goals, processes that drive performance results, and process optimization opportunities. The main objective is to maximize performance results (i.e., delivery, quality, cost, and culture) through waste elimination and digital solutioning. Responsible for gathering requirements, conducting researching, planning & managing timeline, scope, and budget, redesigning or establishing new processes, designing and managing the development of digital solutions, and implementing process changes and digital products in business operations.

The knowledge and skills involved with this position include but are not limited to:

  • Understand company roadmaps, annual organizational goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ability to utilize Lean methodologies
  • Navigate ambiguity and highly complex problems
  • Strong understanding of digital tools and capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Power Platforms, SharePoint, and Scripting) and ability to effectively work with data & IT resources
  • Ability to conduct research through various collection methods
  • Effectively organize, prioritize, plan, and execute work to expectation (time, scope & budget)
  • Understand project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills both written and verbal
  • Develop and manage strong relationships with peers, leaders, and clients

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, business, finance, economics, management, or related field with four (4) or more years of applicable experience
  • [OR] Associate's degree in engineering, technology, business, finance, economics, management, or related field with six (6) or more years of applicable experience
  • [OR] High School Diploma with eight (8) or more years of applicable experience
  • Experience in digital producing, project management, process improvement, and/or problem solving

In your role as the primary process resource for the FT&T team supporting the Controller's organization, you will:

  • Champion company roadmap initiatives that require waste elimination, reduction of human struggle, and automation; includes leading strategic projects to result in hard and soft savings, engaging in associated Rally Room activities, conducting cost savings analyses, facilitating of problem solving and kaizen events, and educating others on concepts and tools needed to drive improvement.
  • Manage the process optimization & automation program to include performance reports, generate demand, effectively prioritize and manage backlog projects, build and maintain positive client relationships, manage projects & budgets, and maintain and develop skillsets to align with new & emerging technology.
  • Implement process optimization and automation projects; includes the development of standard work instructions, facilitating training, and coaching the business on change management strategies.
  • Manage & develop digital solutions with digital producer tools & resources (e.g., Microsoft Power Platforms, SharePoint, scripting, etc.) to automate processes and enable data analytics; includes testing, problem solving, and iterating to ensure that digital solutions meet the established contract terms and conditions.
  • Conduct research on current state processes, ideal and future state processes through internal and external benchmarking, potential waste elimination opportunities, and optimal technical solutions. Research will result in the ability to design solutions that meet business requirements while providing a positive user experience.
  • Interact with business leaders to identify & scope process optimization initiatives; includes defining business goals that align to annual goals, identifying business requirements, determine if waste can be eliminated through digital products and process enhancements, establish contract conditions by outlining the project scope, anticipate return on investment, timeline and budgetary requirements.
  • Collaborate with data team resources to identify potential solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary.
