Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant provides accounting support to our dynamic HVAC business.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities*:

Provide assistant in reconciling truck inventory for our fleet of vehicles
Assist with quarterly warehouse inventory
Provide job costing support when necessary
Work in Process review ensuring that all data and equipment is identified
Manage some Human Resources duties including but not limited to New Hire Orientation and reporting of employee job changes
Update weekly commissions report and partner with AR/AP colleagues as needed
Manage daily journal entries
Track and manage weekly employee purchases
Assist with Month End close processes
Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates degree in Accounting
4-5 years in Accounting
Knowledge of WIP accounting
Working knowledge of Excel
Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekends hours may occasionally be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

HVAC industry experience.

Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently.
Frequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching.

With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.

Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.
Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools.
