MathWorks is seeking aTechnical Account Manager (TAM)to develop and execute a technical strategy to drive the adoption of MATLAB and Simulink among some of our leadingcustomers.


In this technical leadership role, you will partner with a Sales Account Manager to shape the adoption strategy for MathWorks solutions,lead technical engagements,and enable customers to implement Model-Based Design for the development of nextgeneration technologies in areas such as system modeling and simulation, control system design, signal processing, communications, data-driven engineering workflows, and more.You will also team up with Application Engineering, Marketing, Development, and other domain experts to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and empower them to succeed with MathWorks solutions.


This role is based inNatick, MA, with ahybrid schedule (Tues-Thurs in office). Travel up to40%is required.U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Leadership



  • Own thetechnical strategyfor driving tool adoption and customer success across engineering organizations.

  • Develop technical roadmaps that align MathWorks solutions with customer strategic initiatives.

  • Champion MathWorks technical computing and ModelBased Design solutions across engineering teams and programs.


Customer Engagement & Execution



  • Lead highimpact technical engagements across multiple domains.

  • Coordinate crossfunctional technical teams, including Application Engineers, Consulting, Training, and Development.

  • Understand customer workflows, challenges, and program priorities; recommend impactful solutions.

  • Guide customers in improving engineering efficiency, design workflows, verification processes, and ModelBased Design adoption.


CrossFunctional Collaboration



  • Partner with Sales Account Managers to develop and execute account strategies.

  • Partner with Marketing to highlight customer success stories, identify marketspecific messaging, and develop user community engagement plans.

  • Collaborate with Consulting and Training organizations to drive product adoption and successful project execution.

  • Work with Development teams to translate customer feedback into product and workflow improvements.


Thought Leadership & Growth



  • Represent MathWorks in executivelevel technical discussions.

  • Identify new opportunities to expand adoption in areas such as systems engineering, integration/test, DevSecOps workflows, and secure embedded development.

  • Continually expand your technical and business skills through exposure to diverse customer programs and technologies.


Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

  • Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink.

  • Demonstrated experience in interfacing with customers and leading technical discussions.

  • Strong communication, relationshipbuilding, and program management skills.

  • Ability to influence technical direction across large organizations.

  • Strong background in system modeling and simulation, control design, or signal processing.

  • Experience with data analysis, algorithm development, or verification workflows.

  • Experience working in regulated or securityconstrained engineering environments.

  • Familiarity with image processing, audio algorithms, computer vision, or thermal/electrical system modeling is a plus.

  • Familiarity with large-scale simulation, digital engineering practices, or high-performance computing environments is a plus.

  • Experience supporting complex engineering domains such as communications, RF systems, autonomy, or multidisciplinary system design is a plus.

  • Prior experience supporting defense primes or large AeroDef programs is a plus.



Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.

  • Expertise with embedded systems

  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.

  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

  • Experience with Aerospace and Defense
