We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a External Data Strategy VP. We are looking for someone with strong experience driving or participating in Request for Proposal (RFP) process for data or software

To be successful as a External Data Strategy VP, you should have the following experience:

• Previous experience in Financial Services Industry and Credit Risk Management
• Strong project management background, preferable in the vendor management or technical space
• Ability to interface with external suppliers and articulate Barclays’ data needs—data vendor experience preferable
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Excel (Python nice to have)

This role is located in Wilmington, Delaware.

Purpose of the role

To extract meaningful insights from complex data sets, developing robust decision models, and presenting actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the departments.

Accountabilities

• Identification and extraction of relevant data from various internal and external sources.
• Performing sensitivity analysis and scenario planning.
• Monitoring and evaluation of the performance of existing models.
• Development and implementation of data quality control procedures.
• Building and validation of quantitative models to support decision-making across different business areas.
