About the role Our Maintenance department, composed of over 50 people, is focused on delivering safety and reliability, and regulatory compliance for our manufacturing site. As a Maintenance B Mechanical Technician, you will provide preventative and repair maintenance support to the surface soda ash, diversified/specialty products and all other surface facilities, ensuring safe and continuous operation. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the growing Soda Ash family and have a positive impact on transformation journey of Solvay. You will be accountable for: o Analyze mechanical and/or operational problems with assigned surface facilities equipment. o Participate and assist in cleanup and maintenance job functions. o Assist and train others in maintenance tasks. o Other duties as assigned. We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode. About you High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 years associates degree in Industrial Maintenance is preferred. 5 years of applicable industrial experience required for grade B classification. Satisfactory completion of B classification; ARC weld in all positions with mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron and able to pass a flat welding test, gas weld with mild steel and brass. Competencies: o Actively participate in safety, crew, department, and company meetings. o Must be willing to work shift work and overtime. o Must be able to read and write for the purpose of understanding operator log books, work orders, shop drawings, equipment specifications and directions. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $47.00/hr to $47.73/hr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
